Minister Shri Vijayvargiya and Minister Shri Silavat address plantation program in Indore
Union Communications Minister Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia planted a sapling in memory of his mother Late Smt. Madhavi Raje Scindia on Thursday in the massive plantation campaign held in the Kanadia area of Indore. He planted banyan, neem, and peepal saplings in the form of Triveni. Under this campaign, 51 lakh saplings are being planted in Indore.
Union Minister Shri Scindia said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has called for planting trees under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign for environmental protection. He said that in the last two centuries, man has indiscriminately exploited natural resources for his needs. Because of this, the crisis of global warming has arisen all over the world. Union Minister Shri Scindia said that India has been protecting land, rivers, mountains, and forests for centuries. He said that cutting a tree is like cutting a moment of life. Now there is a need that every person in the country should plant at least one tree and take a pledge to protect it.
Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya said that nature has given us an ecosystem, and it is the responsibility of every person to conserve it. Efforts are being made to increase the green cover of Indore through a massive plantation campaign. Planting trees will increase the water level of the land along with enhancing greenery. Minister Shri Vijayvargiya said that if the earth gives us so much for a living, then it is the responsibility of every person to return it.
Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silavat said that 51 lakh saplings are being planted in Indore under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam Abhiyaan”. This will become an example for the country. Indore is recognized as a clean city in the country. Now Indore will also be recognized as a green city. Indore Mayor Shri Pushyamitra Bhargava said that today’s plantation site will be developed as a garden in memory of Late Smt. Madhavi Raje Scindia. Local MP Shri Shankar Lalwani, District Panchayat President Smt. Reena Malviya, MLA Shri Ramesh Mendola, Shri Madhu Verma, Shri Golu Shukla, and a large number of citizens were present.
