Monika Gautam, a student of Tila village of Tila Gram Panchayat of Niwari district says that before the Tap Water Scheme, there was a lot of problem. We had to fetch water from the hand pump located one kilometer away from our house. Many times I was not able to attend school on time. My studies were affected. Ever since tap water has started reaching the village, I am able to go to school on time. I also help my mother in household activities.

Triveni Jatav, a resident of village Ghador in Morena district, says that earlier there were many problems regarding water supply in the village. The villagers used to cover long distances to fetch water with great difficulty, due to which they had to face a lot of problems. The situation of drinking water became very serious in the summer season. Water sources in the village are also limited. Water crisis was persisting due to declining of the water level in the summer season. Since the Narehala Gramin Samridh Jal Praday Yojana came to our village, we have started getting pure drinking water from the tap at home. Pure water has also improved the health of the family members.

Expressing her happiness on getting tap water at the door, Smt. Lalita Bairagi of Padda village of Neemuch district said that the villagers are happy with the tap connection in every house. Earlier, hand pump was the only support. People had to stand in long queues. Many times, they used to struggle a lot to fill water. Now drinking water is being regularly available at home. The quality of water is also checked continuously with the field testing kit.

A lot of our time was wasted. Now the water problem has been resolved. I am able to send my children to school on time.
