Make an action plan for proper management of Devasthanam: CM Dr. Yadav

Directed to organise Geeta and Ramayana Mahotsav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that necessary action plan should be prepared for proper management of Devasthanams in the state. Along with the development of necessary facilities at the places on the Lord Shri Ram Van Gaman Path, necessary arrangements should also be made for the pilgrims at the places where Lord Shri Krishna has visited in the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav gave these instructions in a meeting with Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture and concerned officials in Samatva Bhawan at Chief Minister’s residence this evening. Tourism, culture, endowments, urban administration, rural development, renewable energy and related departments should prepare an action plan in a joint meeting.

Work on various aspects related to devotees in the temple premises

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasized the importance of comprehensive management for Devasthanam, highlighting the need for meticulous planning in various areas. This includes ensuring well-organized temple facilities, focusing on food sector development, integrating solar energy solutions, maintaining cleanliness, and enhancing aesthetics. Dr. Yadav proposed the creation of an annual calendar to schedule cultural and religious events, with the involvement of saints and spiritual leaders. He also suggested the establishment of units to host an International Gita and Ramayana Mahotsav, as well as the production of miniature statues of deities, which could contribute significantly to the local economy. Dr. Yadav expressed confidence in the active participation and cooperation of the public in realizing these initiatives.

Develop facilities in Amjhera and Narayan Dham

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Lord Shri Krishna had come to Sandipani Ashram in Ujjain from Mathura, where he learned 64 arts in 64 days and studied Vedapuran. Along with this, Narayan Dham in Amjhera of Dhar district and Mahidpur tehsil of Ujjain district also has special significance. There are many ancient temples of Shaiva and Vaishnav sects in Amjhera. This place is associated with Lord Krishna and Rukmani. Narayan Dham has the only temple in the world, where Lord Krishna is seen with his friend Sudama. Increased amenities and infrastructure arrangements at these places can attract more tourists and devotees. Similarly, Janapav Kuti is a famous tourist place on the Indore-Mumbai highway, it is at a distance of 45 kilometers from Indore. This is the birthplace of Lord Parashurama. A fair is also organized here every year on Kartik Purnima. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that along with Devasthanams, an action plan should also be prepared for the development of Chitrakoot, Orchha and other important places of spiritual importance in the state.

Make a plan for the development of Dangwara region

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Boreshwar Mahadev adorns the famous Shiva temple of Dangwara near Ujjain. Here the water reservoir never runs out of water which is a matter of great curiosity for the common people. Chambal river flows around this temple. On Shivratri, there is a tradition of organizing a bike rally from Ujjain to Boreshwar Mahadev with the help of youth. Along with this, there is a constant flow of Kavad pilgrims here. Devotees come here throughout the year. Renowned archaeologist Dr. Wakankar conducted a research on the archaeological importance of this region. Kolkata and London have some statues of this region. Necessary steps should also be taken for the development of such places.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav instructed the Principal Secretary Social Justice that necessary initiatives should be taken by the Gram Panchayats for the construction of Manglik Bhawan at various places on the Narmada Parikrama Path. Other concerned officials were also present in the meeting.
