State-level action taken on wrong reporting on AMS portal
Summer vacations are going on in government schools of the state from May 1 to June 15. There is a provision to provide mid-day meals to the students in schools under the PM Nutrition Scheme on academic days till class 8th. State Coordinator of PM Poshan Shakti Yojana, Shri Manoj Pushp has said that mid-day meals are not being distributed in government schools during summer vacation. Show cause notices have been issued by the Chief Executive Officer of the respective districts to the teachers in charge for erroneously reporting mid-day meal distribution on the Automated Monitoring System (AMS) of the Government of India.
Shri Pushp has said that schools are closed due to summer vacation from May 1, 2024, to June 15, 2024. Food grain allocation and financial amount have not been released during this period through the PM Nutrition Scheme. He said that the AMS portal of the Government of India is only a medium of monitoring and reporting. The amount of food grains and cooking costs is not released based on reporting on the AMS portal.
