Chief Electoral Officer Shri Rajan inspects the counting venue in Dewas

Chief Electoral Officer (Madhya Pradesh) Shri Anupam Rajan arrived at the “Kendriya Vidyalaya Bank Note Press” in Dewas on 23 May and inspected the counting venue. Under the Lok Sabha Elections-2024, counting of votes will be held in 5 assembly constituencies of Dewas district on June 4.

Chief Electoral Officer Shri Rajan visited the counting rooms arranged assembly wise and took stock of the preparations. During this, it was told that the counting of votes in Dewas and Hatpipalya assembly constituencies will be held in separate halls located on the ground floor of Kendriya Vidyalaya. Whereas the counting of votes of Sonkatch, Khategaon and Bagli assembly constituencies will be held in the rooms located on the first floor.

Chief Electoral Officer Shri Rajan also inspected the security arrangements of the strong room. He apprised himself regarding the counting tables, number of officers/employees engaged in counting, security arrangements.

Chief Electoral Officer Shri Rajan also inspected the control room set-up at Kendriya Vidyalaya Bank Note Press, Dewas. He also discussed with the representatives of the election candidates present at the counting venue premises and saw the monitoring arrangements of the strong room from the chamber itself through CCTV. During the inspection, Chief Electoral Officer Shri Rajan also gave necessary guidelines regarding vote counting arrangements.

Collector and District Election Officer Dewas Shri Rishav Gupta gave apprised about the preparations being made for counting of votes. During this, Superintendent of Police Shri Sampat Upadhyay, CEO District Panchayat Shri Himanshu Prajapati, Additional Collector Shri Praveen Phulpagare, ASP Shri Jaiveer Singh Bhadauria and other officers were present.
