Till now 21 candidates have filed 27 nomination papers
Chief Electoral Officer Shri Anupam Rajan has said that as per the election schedule of Lok Sabha Elections-2024, the process of filing nomination papers for the second phase has started from March 28. On the third day of the second phase of nomination, 13 candidates submitted 19 nomination papers. From March 28 till now, 27 nomination papers have been filed by 21 candidates.
Chief Electoral Officer Shri Rajan has informed that on April 2, one nomination paper was filed by one candidate in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 6 Tikamgarh (SC), 2 nomination papers were filed by 2 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 7 Damoh, 2 nomination papers by 2 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency Khajuraho No. 8, 6 nomination papers by 4 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 9 Satna, 5 nomination papers by 3 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 10 Rewa and 3 nomination papers have been filed by 1 candidate in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 29 In Betul (ST). No nomination papers were filed by any candidate in Lok Sabha parliamentary constituency no. 17 Narmadapuram.
Chief Electoral Officer Shri Rajan said that the affidavits and other information of the candidates who have filed nomination papers can be seen on the link of the Election Commission of India website https://affidavit.eci.gov.in/. He said that the last date for filing nomination papers is April 4. The nomination papers will be scrutinized the next day on April 5. Candidates who have filled the nomination papers will be able to withdraw their names till April 8. Voting for the second phase will be held on April 26. Counting of votes for all phases of voting will take place on June 4.
