Governor honours those who donated huge amount for military welfare
23rd annual meeting of Amalgamated Special Fund held at Raj Bhavan
Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel said that it is our moral responsibility to be respectful towards soldiers. This infuses confidence and new energy among the soldiers deployed on the border. The honour also provides mental and emotional support to their families.
Governor Shri Patel was addressing the felicitation ceremony organized for those who made special contribution to the Amalgamated Special Fund (ASF) organized at Raj Bhavan. On the occasion, the Governor honoured 24 individual and institutional contributors from 4 divisions and districts who contributed more than Rs 1 lakh for the welfare of soldiers. Principal Secretary Home Shri Sanjay Dubey, Principal Secretary to the Governor Shri Sanjay Kumar Shukla, officers and collaborators were present in the ceremony.
Governor Shri Patel said that the collection of more than Rs 4 crore 36 lakh through public cooperation on Armed Forces Flag Day is a remarkable achievement. He appreciated the efforts of the Divisional Commissioners and Collectors who collected more than the target and congratulated the contributors. The welcome address and vote of thanks in the programme was given by Director, Sainik Welfare Brigadier Shri Arun Nair.
Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel presented citations and mementos to Divisional Commissioner Narmadapuram Shri Pawan Sharma, Divisional Commissioner Sagar Shri Virendra Singh Rawat, Divisional Commissioner Jabalpur Shri Abhay Verma, Divisional Commissioner Ujjain Dr. Sanjay Goyal. Similarly, certificates and mementos were presented to Neemuch Collector Shri Dinesh Jain, Harda Collector Shri Aditya Singh, Rewa Collector Smt. Pratibha Pal, Alirajpur Collector Dr. Abhay Arvind Bedekar and Chhindwara Collector Shri Sheelendra Singh. Shajapur, Mandsaur, Ujjain, Dindori, Sheopur, Sagar, Ratlam, Indore, Satna, Damoh, Gwalior, Katni, Jabalpur, Mandla, Sehore, Bhopal, Panna and Chhatarpur districts were also honoured in the ceremony.

(Siddharth Group Neemuch) Shri Kamlesh Singh Parihar Rs 5 lakhs, President District Chemist and Druggist Association Neemuch Shri Ajit Gang Rs 2 lakh 21 thousand, Regional Manager Central Bank of India Sagar Sushri Monica Srivastava Rs 12 lakh 77 thousand 830, Smt. Nirmala Vidya Prasad Verma Indore donated Rs 1 lakh 50 thousand, Shri Vallabhbhai Patel of Patel Motors Indore Rs 1 lakh 50 thousand, Smt. Rita Mitra Indore Rs 1 lakh 10 thousand, Smt. Anjana Suri Rewa Rs 1 lakh 11 thousand, Shri Rakesh Aggarwal Ujjain Rs 1 lakh 11 thousand, Director M.P. Birla Hospital Satna Rs 1 lakh 1 thousand, Dr. Shashikala Joshi Ujjain Rs 1 lakh 1 thousand, Superintendent Sanjay Gandhi Medical College Rewa Rs 1 lakh 111, Shri Rajiv Tiwari Chhindwara Rs 1 lakh, Smt. Kiran Awasthi Indore Rs 1 lakh, Manager Nayagaon Toll Tax, Neemuch Shri R.L. Meghwal took Rs 1 lakh, Director Dhanuka Soya Pvt. Ltd. Neemuch Rs 1 lakh, Samdaria Builders Rewa Shri Ajit Samdaria Rs 1 lakh, Badrika Motors Rewa Shri Sunil Singh Rs 1 lakh, General Manager Nagarjuna Construction Rewa Rs 1 lakh, Senior General Manager Dilip Buildcon Limited Rewa Rs 1 lakh, Managing Director, J.P. Thermal Power Plant Bina (District Sagar) Rs. 1 lakh, General Manager (HR), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, Bina Refinery Rs. 1 lakh and Chairman M.P.B.P.S. Welfare Committee Bhopal has given a contribution amount of Rs 1 crore 25 lakh.
Meeting of Amalgamated Special Fund (ASF) Management Committee concludes
The 23rd annual meeting of the State Management Committee of the Amalgamated Special Fund was held under the chairmanship of Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel. The compliance report of the previous meeting was reviewed in the meeting. Various issues related to soldier welfare were discussed and the annual budget was approved.
