Chief Electoral Officer Shri Anupam Rajan has informed that as per the election schedule of Lok Sabha Elections-2024, the process of filing nomination papers for the fourth phase has started from April 18. On Thursday, the first day of filing nomination papers for the fourth phase, 7 candidates submitted 12 nomination papers.
Chief Electoral Officer Shri Rajan said that on the first day on April 18, 2 nomination papers were filed by 1 candidate in Lok Sabha constituency number-22 Ujjain (SC), 3 nomination papers by 2 candidates in number-23 Mandsaur, 2 nomination papers by one candidate in number-24 Ratlam (ST), 2 nomination papers by 2 candidates in number 26 Indore and 3 nomination papers were filed by 1 candidate in number 28 Khandwa. No nomination papers were filed by any candidate in the remaining Lok Sabha constituencies number-21 Dewas (SC), number-25 Dhar (ST) and number-27 Khargone (ST) of the fourth phase.
Chief Electoral Officer Shri Rajan said that the affidavits and other information of the candidates who have filed nomination papers can be seen on the website of the Election Commission of India at the link https://affidavit.eci.gov.in/. He said that the last date for filing nomination papers is Thursday, April 25. The nomination papers will be scrutinized the next day on Friday, April 26. Candidates who have filed the nomination papers will be able to withdraw their names up to Monday, April 29. Voting for the fourth phase will take place on Monday, May 13. Counting of votes in all phases will take place on Tuesday, June 4.
