Total 64 nomination papers have been filed by 49 candidates so far
Chief Electoral Officer Shri Anupam Rajan said that as per the election schedule of Lok Sabha Elections-2024, the process of filing nomination papers for the first phase is going on. On Tuesday, March 26, 33 candidates have filed 43 nomination papers. Since the release of the notification. A total of 64 nomination papers have been filled by 49 candidates. Affidavits and other information of the candidates who have filed nomination papers can be seen on the website of Election Commission of India, link https://affidavit.eci.gov.in/.
Shri Rajan said that nomination papers for the first phase can be filled till 3 pm on Wednesday, March 27. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on Thursday, March 28. Candidates who have filed nominations will be able to withdraw their names till Saturday, March 30. Voting for the first phase will take place on Friday, April 19. Counting of votes will take place on June 4.
